I’ve been working as a theatre journalist and editor for over 15 years.
My articles have appeared in publications including TIME mgazine, Huffington Post, the Guardian, Time Out, Fest and The Stage, among others (further writing samples can be found here). I currently work as UK editor for Backstage, covering theatre, film and TV.
Prior to going freelance in 2016 I was managing editor of the influential UK theatre website WhatsOnStage, where I worked for seven years and interviewed many of theatreland's biggest names, hosted post-show Q&As in the West End, and helped organise the annual WhatsOnStage Awards.
I've also worked with organisations including the Royal Albert Hall, Disney Theatricals, Coventry City of Culture, professional theatre network Curtain Call, puppetry company Smoking Apples, PR agencies The Corner Shop and Mobius, the BBC and Creative Youth. I served as a trustee of east London arts charity Kazzum for four years.
My work encompasses a wide range of projects, from websites and podcasts to magazines and programmes. I’m always open to new ideas. If you’d be interested in working with me, would like to commission an article, or have a general enquiry, please get in touch using the form below.
